Freshman Wood has all the tools to be a tremendous player

November 20th, 2009
New England Recruting Report

Julia Wood enters Bishop Feehan as an experienced freshman who is well traveled on the AAU circuit and has had a ton of success at the middle school level. Julia came to our attention, this fall at the best of the best showcase, where she showed off her remarkable athleticism including great speed, an ability to get off the floor very well and a motor that allows her to play at a high level on both ends of the floor.  She displayed good, accurate range from three and a solid handle that enabled her to attack the rim very effectively.

Wood accomplished quite a bit, over her three years at Foxboro Regional Charter School starting all three years on varsity as a middle schooler and was second leading scorer in each of these years. She was two time All-League (only first team non school player) and Foxboro Charter won MCSAO championships in both 2007, 2008 - going undefeated 23-0 in 2007.

In AAU, Julia has not only competed against the best talent in this region and but has played extremely well on national level.  At two Division I national tournament appearances, she was among the leading scorers on her team on each occasion.  The future is very bright for Julia and we looked forward to watching her development
