Lavalette is off to a tremendous start to her career

 

Coming off an outstanding 2009 AAU summer season where she led her Vermont Lighting team to back to back state championships, freshman 5’7 Kari Lavalette has stepped into role as starting guard at Essex High School quite nicely as she is currently their top scorer throughout the early part of the 2009-2010 season.

Kari has outstanding shooting range and was her AAU team's second leading scoring, leading the team is assists and second in steals. She possesses exceptional court vision and is able to finish in traffic with either hand.  She is also tremendous 3pt shooter

Kari recently led Essex High School to an upset win over defending Division 1 State champions Spaulding High School in overtime, 68-62.  She was game high leading scorer with 25 points and had 5 steals while showing great range after shooting 3 of 5 from beyond the arc.

Through the first half of the season, Kari Lavalette, freshman guard, is one of top scorers in Division 1 Vermont High School basketball, leading her team on a recent four game winning streak.

Kari is off to a tremendous start and is certainly someone who we will be watching as her career progresses.
