Cohasset Caps Perfect Season with State Title

Cohasset completed their perfect season last night and in the process won their second state title in three years behind Bates bound senior Meredith Kelly’s 19 points. Tori Lehr, St Anselm’s signee, had 11 points and some huge buckets down the stretch. Cohasset jumped out to 13-8 first quarter lead and eventually stretched their lead to 17 points in the third quarter. The Skippers finish their season 25-0.
EMass State Semifinal
Andover beat Mansfield 60-52 behind a balanced attack. Freshman Davon Caveney led them with a game high 19 points. Andover led by five at halftime and extended their lead with a 10-0 run to start the third quarter. Andover will play the winner of Shepherd Hill and East Longmeadow on Saturday at the Mass Mutual Center in Worcester
Oliver Ames extended their wininng streak to 24 straight after an opening game loss to Foxboro. OA defense was too much for Melrose and they struggled to get good shots in the second half. Lauren Batista lead Oliver
Ames with 19 points and 10 rebounds but Nicole Bostic was really the story as she fueled their run with some clutch baskets, key steals and 18 clutch points. They will play the winner of Millbury and Palmer
Pentucket on a similiar mission was also on a quest to stay perfect beat Archbishop Williams 62-37. Erin McNamara was unstopped knocking down 28 points with five of threes and transition baskets. Ashley Viselli had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Pentucket has the winner of Quaboag and Lee played today in Worcester.
