Hoop Mountain Fall Showcase - Class of 2012

The class of 2012 at Hoop Mountain had good young talent with many who possesed scholarship potential

The Hoop Mountain Fall Exposure event at Boston University this past Sunday had nearly 100 on-looking college coaches as 120 of New England’s most talented prospects showcased their talent.

Here is a look of those who impressed from the Class of 2012

Ashley Perez 5’9 Manchester (CT) – extremely athletic wing with quick hands/feet, went strong to the basket, very good jump shot from beyond the arc, finished well in transition and was able to finish over bigger players

Katie O’Book 6’2, Governor’s Academy (MA) – strong inside/out player who got good position and has nice mid range game. Rebounded well out of her position,  contests all shots, moves well and did a nice job helping. understands angles.

Alex Cohen 5’9, Bishop Guertin (NH) -  extremely good passer with solid ball control, moved well without the ball and went hard to the goal.

Ashley Clough 5’10, Keene (NH) - went very strong to the basket and finished with either hand, moves without the ball extremely well.
Jane White 5’4 Souhegan (NH) – solid ball handler who was able to affect the game on both ends by putting pressure on the defense and getting to the lane or tenaciously getting after the ball

Keri Doldoorian 5’7, Northridge (MA) – extremely smart player who is capable of playing either the point or wing. Solid ability to shoot the ball and create for others

Amelia Diplock 5’8, CONY (ME) – good floor leader who was able to create. Not flashy but effective at getting people the ball in good spots.


Others who impressed
Margaret Doheny 5’11, Keasarge (NH) – showed solid abilities to move without the ball as well as to get open and post.  Solid athlete who was extremely active defensively.

Dana Theobald  5’6 West Springfield (MA) – good passer who was able to create for others. got the ball out in transition and find players in spots where they could be at their best.

Laura Lowry 5’7 St Georges (RI) – got the lane often and displayed good on and off the ball skills defensively.

Elizabeth Belanger 5’9 Acton Boxboro – used her body well on the drive and attacked the offensive glass hard and for a number of put backs

New England Junior Elite 75 Showcase

The Junior Elite 75 will host the top middle school players in New England and provide them with early exposure, the best in skill development, and discussion sessions educating them about what to expect from the high school level and the world of recruiting.
