Top Performers from the teamshowcase

 

Team Mass AAU held its 1st annual team college showcase last weekend. Some of the top AAU teams in New England were in attendance to play before the college coaches.

Here are some of the top performers on the weekend.


South Coast Elite

Arielle Gomes, New Bedford, Lefty slasher who showed tremendous range on the day. She is incredibly atheletic and quick on both ends off the floor.

Molly Brown, Dartmouth HS,  Had a good typical good day off shooting. Does a great job rising into her shot with a quick release

Denisha Parks, Durfee HS, Undersized forward who always plays bigger than she is with a strong move to the goal she did and does not mind contact

Jasmine Amaral, On the defensive end, showed quick hands and feet. Offensively she showed good vision in transition and was able to penetrate the middle and create for others

Bianca Langford,New Bedford, 6'1 post who strong on the interior, good passing with an evolving post up game


NEBC Bombers

Megan Murphy, East Catholic HS,  Good footwork on the offense end. Extremely good shooting off the catch.  She is definitely not afraid to mix it up inside for a guard.

Lindsay Cordero, Bolton HS  Outside shooter who at times went strong to the goal.  She has solid range and nice technique on her jumper

Savannah Kresge, Ellington HS,  When in attack mode all day.  Excellent at the point of attack and good first step to get the rim and finished strong off two feet

Jess Olson, Tolland HS,  She looked like the energizer bunny on the floor, she played with so much energy. Good vision and went strong to the goal

Nicole Ferguson, East Catholic HS,  Physical strong and shot the ball very well


Bay State Jaguars

Hannah Foley, Acton Boxboro, Solid passer for small forward position. she can score in a number of ways

Molly McGlaughlin, Westwood, Displayed good quickness and separation to get to the paint and create for others

Erin Young, Westwood, Wonderful shooter especially off the catch


Basketball to the Limit

Ally Pemberton, Weston, Was all over the place on both ends - cleaning up rebounds, putbacks, getting to the lane and finishing

Ella Scheuerell, Newton North HS, Had a number of strong finishing moves around the rim particularly off the offensive glass

Kelsey Johnson, Old Rochester, Showed her quickness forcing the action on the defensive end and was able to penetrate the lane on a number of occasions to finish

Nyah Berg, Lincoln Sudbury, Tremendous athlete who shot the ball very well

 

New England Junior Elite 75 Showcase

Mansfield Sportsplex

The Junior Elite 75 will host the top middle school players in New England and provide them with early exposure, the best in skill development, and discussion sessions educating them about what to expect from the high school level and the world of recruiting.
