Tilton looks to build on a highly successful 2009 campaign

2009-2010 Season Recap:

The Tilton School Girls Basketball Team looks to build upon a successful season one year ago that saw them finish with 19 wins, which is the most wins in a season since 1996, a Lakes Region Championship, the program's first Lakes Region Championship since 2001, and only the second in the last 10 years, and an overtime loss in the New England Class C Championship to Chase Collegiate 67-61.

2010-2011 Preview:

With the graduation of 5 seniors, 2nd year Head Coach Tara Brisson needed to replenish the roster with some new faces in order to compete with her tough schedule comprised mostly of Class A and Class B schools.

Impact Returners:

AaLeiyah Clifford, 5'10 Junior, Guard - a valuable strong defensive presence, Clifford played in every game last year, starting 4 and was second on the team in defensive rebounding

Courtney Dobrowolski, 5'6 Senior, Guard - the teams only senior will be asked to provide leadership for a fairly young squad. Dobrowolski was the teams best defender last year, leading in both areas of deflections and steals.

Mackenzie Gaudet, 5'5 Sophomore, Guard - a stellar three sport athlete at Tilton she is a natural athlete who saw some playing time last year, but has worked hard over the summer to improve her skill level. She will be huge contributor

Impact New Players:

Daisy Jordan, 6'0 Junior, Forward - very strong and physical post player who will be an immediate contributor on both sides of the ball. Her ability to finish in traffic and valuable skill level will make her a force on the block. Daisy is being highly recruited by mostly mid-majors and low level Division I's.

Alex Cohen, 5'9 Sophomore, Guard - is a pure scorer who is a very skilled and tough offensive threat. Alex's work ethic in the gym has helped her improve her game already this fall, making her a very tough match-up for opposing teams. Alex is being recruited by a number of scholarship programs, as well as some Ivy League teams because she is also a student in high academic standing.

Dianna Bill, 5'10 Post Graduate, Guard - was a starter for Andover High School (MA) who won a State Championship last year. Dianna will bring a tenacious defensive mind-set that will allow her to be one of the best defenders in NEPSAC this year. She can shoot it as well as provide our team with the intangibles of screening and offensive rebounding put-backs. Dianna is being recruited by Division II scholarship programs.

Kaley Marston, 5'6 Junior, Guard - is a natural point guard who will be running the show this year. Kaley is a tremendous ball handler, who is a great decision maker in the open floor. Her long wing-span allows her to be a tremendous on-ball defender.

Ashley Chronopolous, 5'11 Sophomore, Forward - is an incredible athlete who should do a good job of controlling the boards this year. A transfer from Tyngsboro High School, Ashley is more of a step out post who will compliment Jordan at the forward positions.
